Everyone are asking the questions - what is the brick slip?, where can I use it?, it be suitable for my project?, is it safe to use on my wall?, how is it made?

I will try to explain everything for you.

Currently on the market we can find few types of brick slips.

- Concrete brick slips

This products are manufactured from concrete with additional ingredients such as sand, colour pigments and more. Everything is pressed in high temperature at the high pressure forms to achieve outstanding imitation of real brick. This seems easy process but it is not. Full process is only know to the manufactures.

Concrete brick slips are resistant for weather conditions as water, sun and frost. Brick slips made from concrete are easy for installation, can be used on external or internal walls also can be used on top of external insulation and what is very important are a lot of cheaper

than cut real brick. If someone is building garage , new home or fence from blocks, this product is perfect as external cladding.

My opinion Concrete brick slips looks amazing on the wall and are a lot of better than cut real bricks.

This products is manufactured from the highest grade colourised gypsum. Advantage of using this type of brick slip is his lightweight and extremely easy installation and full range of colours. Some of it are manufactured with ready joint, then grouting or pointing is not required. Gypsum brick slips can be painted as normal plaster. Please remember gypsum brick slips are for internal use only!!!

We recommend to use our gypsum sealer Prosil Alchem after installation, this prevent product from contamination and damp.

- Modern style Brick slips

This products are manufactured from concrete or gypsum as above, the difference between brick slips is only the shape.

- Real brick slips

This product is nothing else as real brick cut to size. Real brick slips are made by cut brick for 4 pieces - two outer where structure and colour is the same as on brick outer surface and two middle where this is internal part of brick, then colour be most likely be red or white.

Real brick slips are fragile and require professional installation. Personally I prefer concrete brick slips, but I will leave decision to you.
